What we do...
We have a full and varied programme with activities throughout the year. These typically include:
The Group runs regular practical conservation sessions, looking after the Watlington Chalk Pits Local Nature Reserve, Watlington Hill and other local sites.
In 2013 we began a project to study the interesting and complex watercourses of the parish. This has developed into a substantial project with monitoring, surveying, historic study and, working with various partners, practical work to improve the water quality of the local brooks.
Reports from some previous meetings
Our programme is now largely suspended.
We will review the situation as it develops and endeavour to reinstate as many as possible of the postponed events later in the year or in 2021.
Upcoming work party dates:
We have now resumed some of our practical work - in particular clearance of invasive Himalayan balsam from local woodland.
