Watlington Tree Trail

Watlington Climate Action Group (WCAG) and WEG have been working with St Leonard's Church to create a tree trail around the churchyard. This first saw the light of day at the Artweeks event in 2025, but an expanded and updated version is now available.

The churchyard contains a wide variety of trees, both native and exotic, which contribute hugely to the peace and tranquility of this special place of remembrance, as well as providing a haven for wildlife.

The trail includes fascinating information about many of these trees, their features, uses, history and associated folklore. There are laminated loan copies of the trail and the associated identification quiz at the back of the church, or you can find downloadable versions here:
